Is "ˈkɑːntækt"(contact) pronounced "ˈkɔːntækt" in some dialects?

My dictionary says contact is pronounced either "'k??ntækt" or "'k??ntækt".

And it seems like the dictionary defines that even other words that include "??" can be pronounced with "??" instead of "??".

Is this all right?

What makes you think we know more than a dictionary? If that's what the dictionary says, then I suggest you accept it.

These seem to be AmE pronunciations. In case it matters to you, the BrE pronunciation is /'k?ntakt/.

Yes, it's fine.

Where the pronunciation of English is concerned, you're always going to find a variety of vowel shadings as you travel from one region to another. For the most part we all understand each other anyway.
