Anonymous When the Celts came to the islands of Britain , the period is/was known as .. In my opinion, "is" makes more sense, but I hear both versions. " They probably had a name for it back then too, but I doubt that I'd be able to pronounce it.

Anonymous When the Celts came to the islands of Britain , the period is/was known as ..In my opinion, "is" makes more sense, but I hear both versions.
In all likelihood, whatever name the historians give it now was unheard of "when the Celts came to the islands of Britain."
