Is it 'you may have as much as you can,' or 'you may have as many as you can.'

is it 'you may have as much as you can,' or 'you may have as many as you can.' ?

What are you having?

If it's stuff, use "much."
If they are things, use "many."

When the verb is "may have," I'd say ". . . . as you like." OR ". . . . as you can eat."

But "you may do as much as you can."
