Is it too formal for an invitation?

Dear Jeff,
I recently recieved your letter in which you express an interest in participating a rock-climbing trip with me. I would be more than happy to join you! I did not see you for ages!
It was nice of you to invite me, but I would appreciate it if you could send me some additional information about which trip are you interested in. I would also be interested in the price and the lenght of this trip.
How could I say no to this? Rock climbing is amazing and dangerous at the same time. I mean, it would be wise to consider the condition of the equipment first. I hope we will have a gorgeous weather! Furthermore, I would like to develop my climbing skills by this trip. I want to you join you, we should make an appointment to disguss the details.
I look forward to hearing from you soon!
Yours sincerely,
Bálint Turáncsics
