Is it the proper use of comma?

We will be in touch, when I come back.

Top answer

No, the comma should be omitted. "We will be in touch when I get back" would be more usual. Note that "we will be in touch" would likely be understood to refer to the speaker and other third party(ies) contacting the addressee, not to the speaker and the addressee making contact.
