Is it right use the word burn in the context of anger

Hi,

Is it currect to use the word "BURN" in the context of anger? is there a better way to express the same?

"He asked me to do that work. It BURNED me a lot"

Thanks,

Ravi

I don't know what slang is being used in all parts of the country and I sure don't know what slang is being used by teenagers, but that is NOT something I would say. I do slometimes use "hot" to mean angry. "Steaming" for very angry as well.

  • I was hot, I tell you.
  • Just steaming.
