Sorry, but I think "create it!" sounds like an invitation to fake some news stories -- for good ratings, perhaps.

When someone gets interviewed by a reporter for TV, they might run home and say, "Guess what! I made the evening news!!"

So my best suggestion is -- "Don't just read the news -- MAKE the news!" It isn't quite as catchy, but I think it captures the mean
