Is it right to say...

"are you going to pay WITH card or cash?" or "are you going to pay BY card or cash?" which is correct?

Nona, That's interesting. I have the reverse impression! I think of it as "instrumental" with. Will you cut it with a knife or with scissors? vs. Will you cut it by a knife or by scissors? Then, of course, there's "Will you cut it by using a knife or by using scissors?" For some reason (being trans-Atlantic?), I prefer "by" when introducing the person-agent (passive voice): "It wa
