Hi, Mister Micawber

Thanks for answering me. Yes! This is the idea: to catch a fish by using a rod. But by the way why is the sentence not completely right in its meaning when I use the verb to fish?

To fish - fish - fish = to catch a/some fish. e.g. "We have fish ourselves a fish" .

To fish does not mean to catch fish. You can fish all day and catch nothing.

And it is not fish-fish-fish; it is fish-fished-fished.
