Is it redundant to say, "My only complaint is that I hate..."?

For example, "My only complaint is that I hate how expensive the car is." Would the correct way of stating this be, "My only complaint is how expensive the car is"?

Okay. It somehow sounded weird to me. And "My only complaint is the car's expense" sounds much better. Thank you!

It's not redundant. It just doesn't say exactly what you mean. The sentence can be read as a complaint about your hatred.

That's why I asked this question, because I'm not like most people and I take it as a complaint about my hatred. Emotion: smirking
