Is it okay to use "to + indirect object" before the direct object? And can you use different order from SVO?

Is it okay to use "to + indirect object" before the direct object? Like that:

I gave to John a pen.

Like for example:

Basketball I play. (object of play is basketball)

Nothing special it is. (object nothing)

Nothing can you do. (object nothing)
