Is it ok in English to omit subject/pronoun in the second half of a sentence?

Here is the example:

"Up until now, the code was using internal flags on products to identify expansions and was excluding the identified products from content emptying for the mentioned fields."

Is it ok that "was excluding" stands alone, without the subject repeated?

Thank you

It's correct as it is. Don't change it! The subject ("the code") has two verbs in that sentence- "was using" and "was executing."
