hey all - could someone please tell me which of the two sentencs below are more correct:

1) Looking forward to hearing from you.

2) Look forward to hearing from you.

The first implies I'm, the second implies I.
Both are fine in an informal context, although, from the viewpoint of style, too many -ing's tends to sound awkward, so I think most people prefer the second.

Hi Clive, phrase number 2 is more commonly used than number 1.
I agree 'I look forward to hearing from you' is more common.' I've referred to my letter writing books and found it to be so.
