Is it impolite to call your new senior manager by his first name?

Lets say your new senior manager is about 60ish(you've been known him just for a few days) and your age is almost the same as his son's. Would it be really rude if you call the manager by his name(of course, you would not say something like "What's up?" or "Hey! Man~" to elders).

Top answer

" ("mister") plus his last name is OK. His first name is not OK. Wait longer.

  • " ("mister") plus his last name is OK.

  • Observe what others your age call him.
