Is it idiomatic?

I said to my friend

'My heart's a stereo It beats for you So listen close'

He said Yes I am ...

Is it idiomatic Or should he have said Yes I am listening

Top answer

Yes, that's OK. " user007 'My heart's a stereo It beats for you So listen close' You need some full stops here. "closely" is preferably to "close".

Yes, that's OK. I would add a comma though: "Yes, I am ..."
