Is it grammatically correct to say

Hi,

Is it grammatically correct to say:" instead of just simply ask for “Yes/No” answer, it could ask for an explanation."?

Thanks

It's not correct, and, as far as it is possible to tell what it says, it doesn't seem to make much sense. Maybe you want this: Instead of asking for just a 'yes' or 'no' answer, you can/could ask for an explanation. CJ
