Is it grammatically correct to say?

we have historically dissuaded colleagues from compulsively using “sir” and “ma’am” with senior colleagues.

Top answer

I would rearrange the words: Historically, we have dissuaded colleagues from using “sir” and “ma’am” with senior colleagues. Also, you cannot dissuade from a compulsion, but then there is no need for the word there.
