Is it correct to write

Is it correct if I say to my professor who told me in his email that he is very busy to send me a letter of recommendation below sentences?

Please, do not hurry and take your time. I am not in rush for a letter of recommendation. Please, send it anytime that is more convenient for you.

The 2014 letter should be just fine, after all, it is only January! I think you are being a bit too meticulous. Reviewers are much more concerned with the content than the date...
