Is it correct to say "worth 5th"?
Is it correct to say "worth 5th" in this context?
A football team has had a bad start to the season and has lost lots of games and they are fifth in the league. But they aren't worth 5th. They should be in the top 3.

In my opinion, "They aren't worth 5th" would only be used by a native speaker to imply that their performance rated a standing of worse than fifth -- that is, "sixth," or "seventh."
You might say, "They don't deserve 5th."
This could work in a context in which fifth place is considered bad OR good.
