Is it correct to say " I can tell you what I know about what has transpired during the investigation"

Is the use of the present perfect correct ? Because the investigation ended in the past and does not continue into the present

If the investigation has already ended, then it is more appropriate to use the Past Simple: ‘I can tell you what I know about what transpired during the investigation.’
