Is it correct to say below sentence?

I hope one day all of our family could gather in one place together.

Top answer

I hope one day all our family can gather in one place together. I dropped "of" because it doesn't go with "family". "Hope" establishes the conditional without the help of "could", and so "could" seems redundant.

Thank you very much again. I promise this is my last question dear enoon. In this sentence:

I would like to tell you that recently I have became an uncle.

Is it correct to use Have with became? and should I use recently after "I" or before "I"?
