Is it correct to say

Is it correct to say,

"It is/was great to hear that you've started up this wonderful internet store. I know food and cooking has been your interest. It's good to get your favourite in work. Congratulations"

-I've some problem in expressing my meaning in English esp those typed in bold. Please correct my sentences and give me some advice. Thanks.
