My answer was "wasn't" and i realized that it was wrong answer and i don't no why.
I'm Beginner and i thought it's a normal question

'Wasn't' is wrong because the verb form 'wasn't studied' is not possible there. John wasn't ready last week because he hadn't studied before his test.
