Is it correct?

". Probably any interruption could lead to discouraging the learner from making long speeches. "
I mean to tell that it teacher will interrupt the student ( by correcting his or her mistakes and so on ) when he is making a long speech, it can discourage the student from making a longer speeches during the lesson
