Sorry for not attending this morning since I was late to wakeup. I am sure that 'sorry' is not acceptable in last moment, but it happened first time in my life.

I would say "I apologise" rather than "I am sorry". "Wake up" need to be two separate words. I would not include the second sentence. If you are going to apologise don-t follow the apology with an excuse or a justification.
