Is it correct

My Manger asked me ''Did Joe come to work today"? and i answered "Yes he did, but he went to a meeting with Andrew.'' Andrew is our assistant manager. Please was my response correct? I felt i made a mistake

There's nothing incorrect about it.

But it could be considered ambiguous.
I take it to mean that the two of them went together to a meeting, which may have been attended by several other people as well.
