I want to say
If some one participate in school sports she will learn how to follow rules. I mean general rule or follow discipline.
"If you participate in sports you will have patience to follow rules".
Does it make sense? But I guess not.

eg "If you participate in sports, you must have the patience to follow the rules."
eg "If you participate in sports, you must follow the rules."
eg "If you participate in sports, you must learn to follow the rules."

thanks Clive!
I think I couldn't express what I was actually wanted to say.
I think participating in sports develops a natural tendence towards following rules. If someone learn and follow the rules of a game he or she will surely and naturaly follow all the rules of life. I mean sports develop internal discipline. so I said "By participating in sport you will have patience to follow rules

eg "If you participate in sports, you will learn self-discipline and how to get along with others."
