Better would be

'I promise to be the best student you have ever had.'

Realistically, a more believable claim would be to be one of the best students you have ever had.

No, it's not correct. If you want such in there, you'll have to place it differently in the sentence:

I promise to be a student such as you have never had before.

In any case, it's not exactly idiomatic modern English. See the other suggestions above.
