Is it correct?

Is a sentence," I don't like when he sleeps on the sofa", grammatically correct or should it be" I don't like it when he sleeps on the sofa", or I don't like him do sleep on the sofa" , or I don't like him sleeping on the sofa?

I learned I had to say "I don't like IT when he sleeps on the sofa", but I suspect some people might not include it. It's weird. But I swear I've come across stuff like "I hate when you act like this" on more than one occasion.

  • Maybe that is only allowed in some dialects, but who knows?
  • I've never read any discussions on this.
