I'm interested in abbreviations. Is it right: 1034m or 1034 m? As well as 5% or 5 % etc? What's the solution for spaces? Thank you.

There should be a space in 1034 m (m = meters). There is no space after 5 in 5%.

Thanks, is there a difference between "at a height" and "at the height"?

You also said that you preferred general expressions without "the".

Why did you put "the" in before "beautiful mountains"?

Does it suggest that we say about the mountains surrounding the shelter?

Last question: Can I use "mountain shelter/hut/lodge interchangeably?

Thanks.

I wouldn't agree with putting 'the' in there.
