If I refer to some of the hard wares of a pair of glasses(such as their frames and the lenses) as the "equipments" of the glasses?

But I still want to know a general term for this particular case though:)
What if I need to indicate them as a whole?
Please don't assume that I'm finding trouble for myself, I actually was just having a conversation with somebody, and she asked if a pair of glasses with platinum frames and bifocal lenses are worth 800 dollars, I simply said " I've paid some similar amount for the same hard wares before, too."

Now as you can see, it doesn't sound right to apply the word "parts" to this sentence. So what word should I use?

Please excuse me for being such a pill, but in my defense my usages of words are really not exact, so please bear with me. Thank you!
