Is it corect?

If I refer to some of the hard wares of a pair of glasses(such as their frames and the lenses) as the "equipments" of the glasses?

What if I need to indicate them as a whole?
Please don't assume that I'm finding trouble for myself, I actually was just having a conversation with somebody, and she asked if a pair of glasses with platinum frames and
