Is it clear that the two 'him' refer to Derek?

FYI- Derek is the Rose Knight. When Derek, in his madness, eventually ordered his men to leave the safety of the stronghold and attack the Blue Dragonarmy, Alfred stood up to him and tried to convince him that such an action would be a mistake, but the Rose Knight would not be swayed.
