Is it clear that the "his" refers to Raistlin?

When Caramon and some of his other former companions arrived in Neraka to rescue Laurana, who had been captured by the dragonarmies, Raistlin decided to betray Takhisis and help them thwart her plans.

Thanks for your help. Would this revision work? FYI- Raistlin is the wizard. When Caramon and some of Raistlin's other former companions arrived in Neraka to rescue Laurana, who had been captured by the dragonarmies, the wizard decided to betray Takhisis and help them thwart her plans.
