Is it acceptable to use 'having' repeatedly in the sentence? If not, what words should I use instead?

HIV/AIDS spreads primarily by having other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), having unprotected sex with an infected person, having multiple partners, sharing rinse water, needles, syringes, or other equipment used to prepare illicit drugs for injection, or being born to an infected mother.
