Is it acceptable to use ‘groups,’ ‘for,’ ‘do,’ ‘reminding,’ and ‘namely’ in my sentence below?


The teacher divided the class into four groups for the reading activity, reminding them to do only the basic/fundamental techniques of reading, namely scanning and skimming.

I think it's fine, although I would choose either basic or fundamental, as they have the same essential meaning in context and the "slash compound noun" (or whatever it's properly called) is awkward.
