Is it a subordinate clause?

Hi. Can you explain to me how the part underlined could (should?) be a subordinate clause? I think I don't see a verb but I think I see a noun, 'yesterday.'

I was staying with my friend since yesterday.

It's not a clause. It has no subject or verb. It's a phrase.
