Is it a subjunctive?

Hi.

If I were somebody who cared deeply about social stability, economic prosperity, and sexual monogamy - I would want as many gay couples as possible to get married.

Question:
Is it possible to assume that cared here is a subjunctive as well as were or is it just a simple past verb in a conditional sentence?

Thank you very much in advance.
