Is it a Metaphor

This phrase came to mind yesterday when dealing with a client in the context of which would be a way to motivate.
You could tickle him with a feather or hit him with a hammer.
Would this be considered speaking metaphorically?

Top answer

Yes, speaking metaphorically or figuratively (as opposed to literally, in which you take an actual hammer and hit your annoying client).
