Is it a flat or dead phone battery ?

do we say I need to replace my phone battery because it is dead/flat ?

I can't speak for others in the English-speaking world, but I would say that the battery is dead . On the other hand, I don't even have a phone with a battery, so I'm not an expert. Still, flat sounds odd to me.

I believe you will find that the Brits say that a battery is "flat" when they mean it's "dead." Those Brits can be very odd. Emotion: smile

I would definitely say my phone is flat, but all my friends insist I'm wrong and that you say dead instead. I cannot say what the rest of England would say though.
