Not correct. How many atmospheres are there in your home? You've just suggested that one of the multiple atmospheres there is always exciting. I don't think you meant that. Another interpretation is that it's always exciting to have an atmosphere in your home. I don't think you meant that either.

If there is only one, then it is the one you are referring to. It's a specific reference, a definite reference. The definite article is "the", so you use "the".

"an atmosphere" doesn't mean "one atmosphere", not exactly anyway. It means any one of several, and it doesn't matter
