is interviewing OR is being interviewed?

Hi,

I am having problems understanding the highlighted sentence (see the quotation below).

QUOTE->

In the booklet, you meet the applicant Danielle Winter, an American. She’s interviewing at Esperanto Relocation Services in London. She has applied for the position of relocation specialist for foreign clients.

Why not she's being interviewed at Esperanto...?

I think an American would agree with you, mus-te; I use it that way, at least. But I have seen it used in active voice also, for both interviewer and interviewee. Both are in the dictionary: - to have an interview with in order to question, consult, or evaluate: to interview a job applicant; to interview the president.
