Is "intended" the right word in this sentence?

Hi,

"The study on the intended textile workers revealed that subjects who became aware of the adverse health effects of noise through educational intervention expressed greater annoyance when exposed to high levels of noise."

By "intended" I mean the textile workers we planned to do the study on.

Thanks!

Please put your question in the body of your post. "Intended" is not right. I'm not sure what word you mean because you say you planned to use them, but you also report the results of using them.
