Is "indicate" an appropriate term here?

Hi,
Is "indicate" an appropriate term in this context?

"Sleep inertia also indicates the tendency of a person to return to sleep. This may last for some hours after waking up in the morning, but in most cases it persists 10 to 15 minutes."

Is there any other correction needed?

Thanks!

This is perfectly fine as written. " suggests that you have already defined "sleep inertia" in another way (one that is the main definition). " If that is not so, then you need to word this differently.

However, to clarify, "Sleep inertia also indicates..." suggests that you have already defined "sleep inertia" in another way (one that is the main definition). So this statement is an additional meaning for "sleep inertia." If that is not so, then you need to word this differently.

Also, a minor point, I would say "it persists

Hi

I guess the 'also' fits in with:

- Sleep inertia may make a person feel depressed or incapable for some time after they awake. This may last for 10-15 minutes or, with some people, it may last for one or two hours. It may also lead to a desire to go back to sleep
