Is increment the correct word to use?

Is increment the correct word to use or not?
The price goes up by $10 (increments).
The first one will cost $10, the second will cost $20, the third will cost $30, the fourth $40 and so on.

This is about a video game where you have to kill a boss and every time you hit him his life health goes down by 50 points. He starts with 1000.

Is this the correct way to formulate this?

His health goes down by 50 point increments (with every/every time you) hit.
