AlpheccaStars, thank you for the reply.

If I may, can I ask you for more some explanation about why?

We do not use 'much' before non-comparative forms of adjectives.

fivejedjonWe do not use 'much' before non-comparative forms of adjectives.
We use "very," not "much".

He was very grateful.

I know of only one exception, and that is with a past participle:
A: How is he after a week after his surgery?
B: He is much improved.

Thank you for the kind explanations, AlpheccaStars and fivejedjon!

But, I don't perfectly get why Sentence C is not right.

Because in Sentence C, the modifier phrase "so much" is at the end of the sentence.

Can you give me an answer for this?

Thank you so much for your help you've given to me.

Smart HumanismBecause in Sentence C, the modifier phrase "so much" is at the end of the sentence.
It has nothing in the sentence to modify. The phrase just hangs out, blatantly incorrect.

eg. "Much" goes with "love":
How much do I love you?
I love you so much that I would give anything for a kiss.
