my friends,
can you explain these following sentences to me ? what are they talking about.

"A: david really is some kind of mathematician.
B: is he ever ?"

what do the B imply ? agreement or disagreement ?

"A: that is the the funniest story i know .
B: that's not saying much."

Not saying much . what do the B mean ?
