My dictionaries tell me that the adverb "forever" consists of the preposition "for" + "ever." Since "ever" is the object of a preposition in that case, does that -- technically speaking -- make "ever" a noun? (Especially since some people spell it as two words: I shall love you for ever.) THANK YOU
