Is "earth" capitalized in these sayings?"
"Where on earth.....?"
or
"It's the best job on earth..."
To me, it's referring to the planet, so I would assume it's capitalized. But I'm editing some work right now and I keep seeing it lowercase.
Anyone know the answer?

I have seen it both ways, but if you want to capitalize, then do so.

a good rule i heard is to only capitalize it when it is listed among other celestial bodies. i.e. Mars, the Sun, and Earth. But in your examples, do not capitalize it.
