Is Dundee a good place to learn English

Hi! I'm from Poland and next year I'm going to study in China. Now I have a gap year and I want to improve my English. My brother lives in Dundee and advices me to stay at his house and find a job there. I think it's a good way to learn English but I have a question. Is English spoken in Dundee a standard English? Or is this a dialect? Is it very different from English spoken in London? Is it a good place to learn language?

The main difference between English spoken in Dundee and English spoken in London is the accent. If you learn English in a Scottish community for any length of time, then you will no doubt acquire a Scottish accent. You might also hear a few specifically Scottish words and expressions that you wouldn't hear from Londoners, but 99% of the language is exactly the same.

The locals speak a dialect called Scots. It is definitely not a Londoner's accent, and very different from American English. Here is a site devoted to the regional language.
