Is cumulating vocabulary important for learning English?

when I learn English , I just try my best to forus on cumulating vocabulary, I can't confirm if this is a good method to promote the level of this language quickly

It never hurts to learn more words. Of course you need grammar too, but knowing a lot of words can also help, especially if you have some understanding of the contexts in which they are u
